I’d appreciate any and all help I can get! It’s been especially frustrating because I’ve been forced to leave competitive matches, causing a significant loss in SR, and nothing I’ve tried has solved this issue. I’ve been playing regularly for a year and have never had this occur until very recently, about three weeks ago is when it first started, and I haven’t downloaded/changed anything on my PC that could’ve caused this.
OVERWATCH FULL SCREEN FREEZE ALTTAB DRIVERS
After doing some research I made sure to have no background programs open, made sure all my drivers were updated, and other steps that were said to help, but to no avail. To add to this, even if I were to wait for a while, the screen wouldn’t recover, and I wouldn’t be able to force close it through any means, including task manager, unless I completely shut down/restart my PC. If I press buttons/act like I was playing, the game would register my movements/actions (for example, if I had an ult and pressed Q after the screen freeze had occurred I would still perform the ult in game, as I would hear it activate/etc). Randomly the game would freeze the screen on a single frame, but I would still hear audio/the game would continue.
I’ve only recently started experiencing an issue with the game that’s been making it near impossible to confidently play at all, especially in a competitive game mode.
